This is my big plan for next summer.
Right so I was thinking what can the shop do to build and gel our scene a little, in the tradition of skating, friendly competition has always pulled a crowd. But I also wanted it to be longer than just one day so I have devised this plan.
5 parks, 5 weekends each comp will result in a maximum of 5 points, not attending will result in a loss of points but not exclusion from attending further comps, all results will be kept a secret until the final comp.
The parks are going to be because of the shop’s catchment, Abergavenny, Cwmbran, Caldicot, Chepstow and the final is in Newport. The idea is you get a week in between comps to attend the next park to get your lines dialled.
There will be a sponsored comp with product and a bit of cash possibly but what I find most important is the unsponsored section because the grand prize is the chance to be shop sponsored for the year, this is a strict year because the following year is the chance to reclaim.
Let me know what you are thinking on this and if you think it will be attended. Thanks and Merry Chrismyass.
Finally new Zooport stuff available in Freestyle, Newport
It’s been a while but big daddy Ray has been busy having babys and shit. There are some new additions aside from the classic Zoo Tee and the revamped Zooport crest. Check the detailing on the Jackets and Polo shirts, a sweet little Newport pigeon. T shirts available now, jackets and hoodies coming in a bit (2 weeks ha ha! Private joke!)
The Freestyle Party in Meze Was Rad!
Thanks to all who attended the Freestyle night at the Meze festival, long suffering skateboarder Lt Meat’s band were amazing, if you have a chance to see them it’s a must, it was his first time with a band and not as a solo artist, he was also kind enough to let me do a couple of songs with him. Hopefully there will be some fun Halloween photo’s up soon, send us your pics so we can see what you got up to.
