Creature Premiere in Newport……Le Pub!

Hesh Law….if anywhere was going to show this it had to be in Newport….Le pub was perfect…dark and sinister, a mysterious green light over the stage….plenty of people turned out on Sunday night to see the carnage….one of the cool things about South Wales is people aren’t affraid to travel….Aberdare were there, we made the 100 mile round trip from Swansea….We got 4 short films courtesy of Freestyle skateshop…a local video taster which was rad, not sure of the title though?? Tales of the Larb which is an animation by Sam Hitz then straight into Hesh Law which seemed short but was so good must have bent time and was over before you could say Baku….plenty in there though, talking about travel Creature have pretty much got it covered….South America, Japan, China, Ramona….i loved the Lima and Quito sections..those places are pretty gnarly and look easy to skate in the film…they are as always more difficult when you actually go there….The Quito park has always been a mythical skatepark, high up in the mountains and pretty light on oxygen you enter a dreamlike state when you arrive…looks like the Creature team had no trouble with altitude sickness, they tore the place apart…

On top of sections by Navarrette, Heddings, Graham, Partanen, Hitz, Gravette, Bingaman, Mallory and Silent Mike there is a cool Barrier Kult section…all in all i don’t know how they fit in so much. After the main show it was Blood Shed…a horror/b movie which by all accounts was perfect for the Drive in movie theatre in San Diego where they had their world premier a couple of weeks ago. The damp Sunday night in Newport ruled out the drive-in so Le pub turned out to be perfect

Uncomfirmed date for the Creature Hesh Law premiere in Newport.
All I know is we are deffinatly doing it in Le Pub around the end of November the start of December, hopefully get some bands to play to. This Video has got Newport written all over it.
